| It's an interesting one, especially looking at the players that Sheffield lost, at the end of day I guess some won't be able to make a decision until they see what money is on the table but the rise in costs for wages alone would be quite considerable I'd have thought. Though I have no idea how,U has a part time player or a full time player earns at this level.
Also depends on which league we are in.

For sure if we go full time it's vital we know who will depart but surely any decision we make will be greatly influenced by this anyway.

| I dont really think you can let the potential loss of players change the decision one way or another, it has to be a long term decision. If you loose players in the short term then it is unfortunate but maybe long term necessary. However you then struggle to get into the top four the next year, so its almost like promotion and relegation yo-yo within the same league!

| Or do a Sheffield and pretend that you're full time. Play in local park for a tenner a game, have 13 full time players and DR the rest. Happy days

We might play in a local park but we haven't stooped to DR yet. Interestingly, there seem to be fewer and fewer DR players around. A welcome sign that clubs are getting real, I hope - it doesn't work.
Turning to the original question, there are players who are prepared to be full time and players who want to remain part-time. There's a little crossover but, in the main, they are two distinct groups. It's based more on personal circumstances than ability, so it is.

| Been poor hasn't he. Playing full back one week, wing the next probably hasn't helped though. Not in the reserves team tonight, so assumably playing Sunday...
On that note, the reserves look to have a very decent side out!

Playing devils advocate here Griff - no antagonism intended - what do you make of Sheffield right now? Clearly going full time has hurt their squad and the "stadium" smacks of doing things on the cheap?
