Job done and after an expected nervy first 5 / 10 mins- only one winner and just a matter of by how many.
Gareth Moore looked a class above. Luke Ambler too hot to handle up front.
Richard Moore bust them open at will and ran 70 yards on a touchline romp to score.
Both reserve grade players showed up well-especially the hooker-looks class in the making.
Miles went off after a head clash and didn't return.
Tyrer limped off and looks in a bad way to me.
Adam T played short spells but he is in a rich vein of form.
Will Sharpe still not firing to me-looks to be lacking a bit of confidence and I notice he got a couple of verbals from different players after mistakes.(hopefully it will come for him)
No Calahane/Manning/Murrell/Salty/Saxton/Heaton/Kaye today.
Credit to Pilcs who stuck at it and could have had a least a couple of scores with a little more composure.
Need to build on this now against Oldham next week.

Good to see the youngsters and fringe players like Connor Robinson going well. Connor did not really impress last season that much for me. But the past couple of games, he looks to be determined to get involved and prove himself. Would like to see Brandon Moore get to play against some championship teams, as he looks way too good for playing in reserve grade. Tangata is a beast and great to see him carrying on his form from late last season. Just needs to work on a couple of things but glad he stuck with us and didnt go back to Australia when he was not getting game time at the start of last year. Hope the leg injury with Tyrer is nothing too serious. Hope Pilks made some money on the day.

Funny game got the usual burst from the amateur lads and we were poor for the first 20 mins but then we got a few scores and kept on scoring, agree Gaz Moore looked class, Luke Ambler was good when he came on and Adam Tangata score a terrific try as did Richard Moore both down the wing!
Of the fringe players Brandon Moore looked sharp and Connor Robinson did well but they were out on their feet last 20 minutes and we cut through with ease as they started making more errors so for 2/3 of the game we were professional but still need to cut out those silly passes. Will Sharp needs to build his confidence and sadly he did not score again today hopefully it will come.
At least its a win and we should hopefully kick on against Oldham.
Steve Tyrers injury looked bad hope he is not out too long.

Whilst overjoyed at today's result I can't help feeling that my day has been somewhat spoiled by the sad, no, devastating news that Bradford have been knocked out.
Fancy letting big clubs like them in at these early rounds.

always going to be a one sided game after the usual first 10 minute spell of the amateurs giving it there best shot. Hats off to Pilks they looked a decent side in that spell but were never going to stay with us.
Very impressed with Brandon Moore who should have earned himself a spot for Oldham. The young prop whilst looking very green, he also had a very good game and took some putting down and definitely one for the future. Connor Robinson had a decent game as well but Gaz Moore had a hand in everything and was MOM by a mile for me, and looked like he had not even got out of second gear. Richard Moore and Luke Ambler were very good and hopefully we will see more of that form in the coming weeks. Tangata looks such a good player this year and he is getting better and better every game.
Overall a better performance albeit against an amateur team but its time to crank it up a level in the League starting with Oldham.

Will Fax be concentrating on the Cup this year. Great result for you guys.

Tyrer says could be possible ruptured or torn calf but won't know really till swelling goes down.Miles looked ok after game bump on head and mark below eye.Pilkington did really well, and the lads really put their all into the game.Hope the Pilkington lads who took a knock are ok and that they have a good season.They play at Siddal in June so may pop over to the game.

We will of course be concentrating on the cup, we always do, so much so that sometimes we forget who can play or not.


Incidentally, before the start of last season you Bulls "fans" (particularly that dolt rumpetypumpety) were all over this forum telling us how promotion was a cert and how you were too good for this league, strange, gone quiet!
