The Semi in 1988 was at Headingley, and it finished 0-0. The replay was at Elland Road, with Hull leading 3-0 from a drop-goal and a penalty. Fax scored a try via Tony Anderson, but most of us didn't see it scored due to the heavy fog that had descended on the ground by then.

Over 45,000 fans at those two ties... almost 95,000 at Wembley for the final, but we were ripped apart by Wigan that day.

Yes that 1988 final was a big comedown from the year before, now I guess we'd take that as getting to the final would be such a big feat.

I went to treplay but missed tfirst game, happily.
