| Another 7-0 defeat for them tonight, what's going on? I dont follow them but always keep an eye out for their scores and wish them all the best. Have they had to sell players, is there an injury crisis? Would prefer not to see them go down.
Serious replies only please, this isn't intended as a slanging/us v them post!

| They've been punching above their weight for two years. Other clubs in that division have more resources - so they have done extemely well this far. May be one season too far though now.

| There should be plenty of cash in the bank from various windfalls over the last few seasons - sale of Jamie Vardy, Bradford City televised cup tie, Charlton televised cup tie, sale of Lee Gregory, etc. And the board are quite rightly prudent when it comes to spending the money i.e. they are spending the cash based on the crowds they are getting rather than based on what is in the bank. Unfortunately it seems things are settling down and the performances are matching the investment being made in the team so Rich is probably correct to some extent that FCHT have been punching above their weight.
However, the decline, which started around February earlier this year, doesnt fully reflect the above. The biggest complaint being made is that the players just dont appear to give a damn with effort being questioned. I am sure all Fax fans will agree that your success this last season was down to work ethic and attitude rather than it purely been down to having a team blessed with superstars. Attitude and effort is just as important as ability.
The board have a major decision to make now. Back the new manager with some financial investment to hopefully keep us in the league, which kind of goes against the way they manage the finances, or hope the new manager can turn things around using loans. Either way it isnt looking good.
Anyway, I am looking at attending some Fax games next season for the first time in 12 or so years. My partner and her children enjoyed the televised game against Bradford

| They are not just getting beat they are getting hammered! Is it 2 of the last 4 games they have 2 teams put 7 goals past them. They probably have been playing above themselves but thats a real drop in standards. Doesnt seem much pride or team spirit over there. Maybe then can get Karl Harrison as team tactician and James Lowes as Mr Motivator

| Their board has no ambition.
On another note looks like their result last night broke their forum.

| I think they need Richard Marshall. I suggest they go to the nearest Chino outlet and start wooing him.

| Good to hear you'll be watching Fax next season Bubba.
Back on track though, was the right man appointed as manager?
Also saw the highlights from the Woking match and that could have easily have been another 7 goals against, but if it'd been pulled back to 1-1 rather than a howling miss who knows.
The under 19's seem to be doing OK, are any of them ready for the first team?

| I dont think he was. I would have much preferred Jim Harvey to have been the one in charge with Kelly as his assistant. Would be interesting to know who else applied but assume the appointment made was the cheap option.
I couldnt comment on the U19s though I am a big believer in seeing youngsters given an opportunity, obviously if showing good potential.

speaking as one of the 90 mugs who went to Grimsby last night i'l give a brief resume. The manager Neil Aspin had 5 years Richard Marshallesque type coaching and achieved 3 promotions. However in 2015 an imposter emerged who undid 5 years glory and totally changed the philophosy that had worked so well. The sack was inevitable but unfortunately he was allowed to build the current squad of kids and journeymen who replaced last years squad who mostly moved on to football league/better things.

| as a fan of both clubs it is very sad what is going on with the Shaymen, the defence is terrible and why the Board are playing this financial prudence card now is worrying as I can only see this ending up in relegation back to the National League North as it is now.
They must invest as this team is not good enough.

Can they invest before January? By then it will be too late.
