Rhinos Masterclass to Retain Challenge CupIt was billed as the most one-sided Challenge Cup final for years as the cup holders and runaway league leaders the Leeds Rhinos took on the Super 8s Qualifiers and massive underdogs, Hull Kingston Rovers.
Brian McDermott showed that he was far from complacent in mid-week interviews against the team who had already defeated the likes of Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves in the earlier rounds. Would the sleeping giant of Hull KR finally awaken in the Wembley cauldron or would it be business as usual for the all-conquering Rhinos.
The next eighty minutes would tell a magical story for one set of fans at the packed national stadium.

| That was just about as good a performance as you could see from Leeds. I don't think HKR were particularly bad, Dixon apart he had a nightmare, but the rhinoceros's were nigh on perfect. Not a great advert for the game but yoi have got to hand it to Leeds. P.S. The reference to a packed Wembley was a joke surely? The Grove, Shudds. Durham Citra Nova 3.9 % Mmm!

I agree Hudds, the second tier was as sp as Charlie's visits to the bar.
Dixon did have a nightmare, but he looked very nippy and I would put it down to bad luck.
Respectfully I can't agree that KR "weren't particularly bad" in my humble opinion they just didn't turn up.
Liked KR's Albert Kelly, he was every where.
As regular readers will know I am the only person in the world without Sky so I am not in a position to judge Super League, but I saw enough today to suggest that we are not ready, not nearly ready.
Negative as that sounds Mr Jagger that's what I think.

| Blimey that was a real drubbing KR got and was the most one sided Final I have ever seen in the 38 Finals I have been to and as you say not Leeds fault but was not good for the game.
Agree there was no way a 80K plus crowd as Club Wembley had only a few in it and that is 10K plus the upper tier was about 25% empty

The higher tiers are mainly "club Wembley" who get this game automatically as part of the package. They are counted as attending even if seats not used as the tickets sold. This is the same for all England games too.

Said it before but its false accounting and I hate it, say it as it is and that is the number of 'bums on seats' which is the actual fans in the ground.
