I must say i do admire Batley,season by season their best players are cherry
picked by s/l and top championship clubs and they have to rebuild.They seem
to always come back stronger.Always rated Kear as a coach but it goes deeper
than that,it's pride in the shirt mentallity.

I'll second that, if there was no Fax, Batley would be one of the teams where I would take in the odd game or two.

On Sunday Fax should've won, in my opinion we were the better side for the most. Did Batley slow the ball down and spoil things at the ruck? Yes.

We have to be better at combating that In future.

We haven't started as well as we'd have liked but could and should have won both against Fev and batley. They can only get better.

If we beat sheffield we will be front of them in the league. If you'd have offers me that at the start of the year I would have taken it.

I think on Sundays showing both teams were woeful, had very little go forward and no creativity. And that is no disrespect to Batley at all. They have lost some key players over the close season and personally I don’t think their team is as strong as it was in the last few years.

The ref did spoil it as well as he never gave an advantage to an attacking player who dominated the ruck but allowed the defenders to put in a second effort or a third man to come in after the tackle was complete. But he was the same for both sides and we slowed it down just as much as Batley. Did this affect us more than Batley? A few years it would have done when we had props who got to their feet quick and hookers like Penky and Gleeson who would then take advantage of a quick play the ball. I just don’t think we have that now so I don’t think we can say Batley benefited from the slow play more than us.

It made me laugh how KH commented that Batley play a simple gameplan. Yeah they do, but do we don’t anything different. Both teams seemed to have the same gameplan on Sunday!!

At least they have a gameplan. I don't think KH would recognise one, simple or otherwise.

Aren't you slagged off on many forums? Doesn't it come with the territory of being a successful team? And let's be fair we have had a bit of a history lately.
Why not just rise above it and see it for what it is, a little bit of jealousy by a small minority. You cannot proclaim yourself to be a big club and expect nothing back when you get beat.
