Prepared for abuse, FC Pubteams match tonight is off, The Shay pitch is UNFIT

I thought it would be ok for football too on sunday.The standing
water at south stand had turned to mud after our game.Pitch looked ok at full
time and barring a deluge inbetween (which hasn't happened)thought the town game would be on.

I have it from a reliable source that the pitch is fine.

They haven't paid their rent and aren't allowed to use the shay

Not equal rent anyways LOL


They'll be able to stay home & watch City v Barca on tv now.

Oh dear what a shame. They can play in Rochdale or somewhere if they cant play at The Shay like last season. Maybe they could pay for the full amount for the use of the Shay like others do.

From what KH said last night the match referee was over ruled when he wanted to call the game off by the match commissioner on Sunday.

Football club didnt and the rugby club had to step in before your lot went under. Its only a matter of time before your pubteam starts owing money again.

If they didn't demand the pitch be cut as short as it is during the football season it would probably be in a much better state. We certainly hand over a pitch in a far better state in July than they do in Jan...!!

I understand your sentiment John and can't see why not considering nobody is blame free in all this.
We probably didn't put in the money we should at the start, for whatever reasons, which I don't know but the footy boys went bust so can't really say they anything either.
For the amount of games Town play I don't think there is n't a cat in hells chance they could pay the same as us, but that does n't mean we can't pay the same as them.
Whatever though I don't think that either can really survive without the other at the Shay.

We do indeed but a lot of that is probably down to the fact there is a bit of sun on it during the spring summer months possibly?

Prior to last summer I seem to recall some of the wettest summers ever, yet it still faired better....!!

They were but we still had 'a bit' of sun though not as much as we would all like.

Though they do play a ridiculous number of games, about 60 I believe, in
cups that would be better suited to the Moor.
