Hi everyone I've (Johnny Lawless) organised a fundraising event next Saturday at Siddal RL. We're raising funds to build a toddlers park in memory of Mick Shaw and Math Smith who as most will know we've lost tragically through suicide. If anybody would like to come down we've all sorts to do for the kids and will be having an all stars game (kicking off at 3:30) featuring Garry Schofield, Mick Scott, Rocky Turner, Keith Senior, Oli Marns, Gaz and Lee Greenwood, Andy Hobson (tbc) to name a few. There will also be live music later on. Quite a few of us (myself included) will be doing sponsored events in the morning. Nice work Jonnie, good luck with it. I played against both Micky & Smithy years ago, both great players & good blokes. Nice to see the rugby community getting together and looking after things.

Also, Siddal 1st team take on Wigan St Pats, who currently sit top of the NCL, Kick off 1.30. It promises to be a tough, entertaining game between two of the best sides in the NCL.

I'm sure the 2quid entry would be for both games too, so good value!
