| We are going to the game on Sunday and since its my Birthday I fancy a few brewskies. We are thinking about getting the train into leeds and then a taxi from Leeds to the stadium.
Is this a good idea or is there an easier/cheaper way to get there?
Any help is much appreciated.

| There are buses that run along the main road near the stadium, last year we caught a bus and got off near a pub called The Engine Inn on Moor Rd, its just around the corner from where the steam railway is based. and within a reasonable walking distance to the stadium,
After the game we were in a pub called the Garden Gate which wasnt too far from the stadium and we got taxis back to the station from there at a reasonable cost.
Buses for short journeys are ridiculously expensive, so a car full of you splitting the cost in a taxi will probably work out the same if not less than all paying for the bus

| Thanks Brew,
So train to leeds station and taxi to the ground is probably best then. i'll tell the taxi driver to take us to one of those pubs.
Thanks again.

| There are loads of bus's that go up dewsbury road and drop you near the stadium but if there gonna be 3 or more in a taxi then thats the cheapest way to be honest. But if you decide to get the bus then you need to head to the corn exchange ( next to the market) and theres a row of bus shelter's

But if you decide to get the bus then you need to head to the corn exchange ( next to the market) and theres a row of bus shelter's. Most bus's will take you where you need to be. Just ask driver to drop you at quick fit on dewsbury road. Hope this helps

| Try a few in the Brewery Tap and then call Amber taxis, best organised taxi firm I ever come across.

We usually call in the Scarborough Taps but might go to one nearer the stadium I take it you go to the other side of the stadium to Dewsbury Road?

Amber taxis, are they after the red taxis & before the green taxis ?

I've not got a clue! Few years ago we went in some does hole on Dewsbury road that had a bit of a derelict feel to it. Massive place, very few patrons
Last year we were in the pub by the engine inn. Then rode the steam train to its terminus behind the five a side pitches and tennis courts and walked around to the stadium.
The Garden Gate pub which had a massive beer garden was somewhere near the start of the Middleton railway. Can't remember exactly as I simply followed someone. But it shouldn't be too hard to find if we want to go again!
As for the city centre. We'll probably descend on the station spoons. And if we stay around there might go to the "Hop" in the arches. Midnight Bell or somewhere like that.
