Warrington Wolves and London Broncos announce that Warrington player James Mendeika has joined super league rivals Broncos in a five week loan.

All well and good, but Mendeika is one of the young players Swinton signed on a permanent deal from the wolves!

Why would Broncos announce that they have signed a loan deal for a wolves player when they should have been negotiating with Swinton - if he is Swinton's player? Smell fishy eh?

The mistake comes from, it appears, the fact that, although a Swinton player, Mendeika is training full time with the Wolves! Against the rules!

He was though at Swinton when Warrington loaned him to London, but he could be recalled by Warrington at any time, which in effect is what they've done to loan him to London. There's no ambiguity; that's what dual registration is designed to offer.

I like the idea that Warrington are taking the p*** here. They didn't want it (by all accounts) and they're keen to show it for what it is.
