It's York City Knights we are playing, a very old club with a fine tradition. Whatever we feel their Directors must think this is the right way forward for their club. I would think many of their supporters are unhappy with the arrangement, but what we need to do in the championship is all pull together. At the end of the day the clubs that will win everything this year will come from Fev, Leigh, Halifax or Batley so why alienate other supporters.
Lets all pull together it's the Campionship and Championship 1 against the world.

I have respect for the opinions of others on this subject and on the other subjects that we speak about on our forum.

Many times we will repectfully agree and disagree.

On this topic.

I have no animosity, ill feeling or whatever you may call it in a negative personel context at all against any club or the supporters of the clubs that are involved in the latest way of dual reg players.

However I do not feel that what some clubs are doing is in line with the tradition of the clubs involved or of the game as a whole but they have the right to choose.

Even sticking with the tradition of something is not automatically right but if and when you deviate from it especially with Rugby League it can badly backfire.

The game is hardly attracting new support and has clearly lost a lot of support because the game is "Not what it used to be".

An important point is if we ask.

"What are the motives of both the Super League clubs and the Championship clubs involved."

Is it for the betterment of the game or based on some selfish reasons.

As to "sticking together".
It seems the exact opposite is being done with the current dual reg process.

This is causing divisions in the game at every level from director, coaching staff, players, RL press, commentators, pundits and supporters etc etc.

Does not pulling together sometimes mean objecting to and opposing something that all the people above are not happy with.

Those responsible for this need to be told in every way we can of the dangers of this and the damage that this could cause.

Otherwise the identities, traditions and supporters of all the clubs outside Super League will be lost for good in a short period of time, that's how potentially serious this could easily become.

Anyway speech and moan over see you all at York tomorrow and it will be a tough encounter that we will need to be up for.

Well here is my 4 penneth.

Twinning clubs should be ashamed' as should chairman of NON RELEGATION CLUBS who instigated this mindlessly short sighted initiative which is self evidently wrong.

I have no sympathy whatsoever for this ludicrous idea which is worse than wrong. It is almost as though our game has a death wish.

Folk like me who have been watching my club for over 50 years will not be replaced by kids in Leigh Fax or wherever to watch NON RELAGATION CLUB reserves when if they are interested in watching the game they could watch their nearest NON RELEGATION CLUB first team.

That's how I see it generally speaking in the worse case scenario with the more selfish clubs.

I have been told that the RFL did not want this and not all the SL clubs but the other (as it turned out)
majority of SL clubs voted it in.

This begs the question who really is running the game and pulling the strings when important decisions are being made that can have a serious effect on other clubs that they give no respect or thought to???

Likewise the SL clubs that chose to scrap a big part of their junior set up must have had some "off the radar" dialogue with their prospective partners "before" the vote was taken to make sure that it did not leave them short.

Maneuverings behind closed doors???

If this "speculation" on my part was the case is it legal to do so.
Even if it is, is it in a sporting sense ethically and morally right to do so.

Anyway as you say, all good stuff to have a natter about.

York City Knights 12 Halifax 56, the knights have several players injured already and if we didnt have the D/R players I dont think we would have had enough players, most Y.C.K. fans dont like the link ups but without it we would be in the mire.
