Does anyone know which pubs will be open before the Batley game on Sunday?

Aye must be in doubt as the temperatures are not looking good.

town game off at shay tonight so not looking good for sunday either.

Match venue has had to be switched from the Shay to Mount pleasant as the Shay pitch unplayable


hopefully Batley will be ok Its playable now depends on the weather in the meantime. They are doing a pitch inspection on saturday so any up to date news after that on Club website

In response to the OP's question about early opening pubs, the Wetherspoons will be open, 10-15 minute walk up the hill or fairly cheap in a Taxi

Faxlad66 says the Ivy house is open most nights up until sunday.

Now that the game has been moved, where is a good place to have a pre match drink close to the Batley ground?

Nice little bar inside the ground with plenty of space (and seating) outside it for all speccies.

I'm a little bit fed up with this thread. Surely it's not about "where can we get a drink" For goodness sake it's a Sunday lunch time. Drinking on a Sunday lunchtime? You should all be ashamed of yourselves. What's happened to morning prayer? A brisk walk and then Sunday lunch with the family? And then off to the match, rattle and scarf, flat hat and an oxo at half time.
