| I believe, after speaking to some town fans, that the pitch needs to be dug up over the summer months to sort out the drainage problems, so we have agreed not to play at home for around 6 weeks, not sure what will happen if we get drawn at home in the NRC tho

| This has been the case for a number of years where we have had a month off from playing home games to sort the pitch out.

There's a simple solution to that one...

| The pitch is a worry to me and I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this.
FCHT have had numerous games called off, Toby Whatshisface from the courier (think he's off to the Sheffield Star soon though) often jokes about how bad the pitch is one comment was "if someone knocks a glass of water over the game will be off". And I've heard that FCHT are getting hassle off the league due to the number of games that have had to be rescheduled.
Will our friendly with Batley go ahead? If we go and carve the pitch up, besides annoying FCHT (which doesnt tend to bother many of the rugby folk I know) will we be putting our game against Sheffield 11 days later at risk if there was heavy rainfall between?
With an already busy schedule this year, we don't want to end up with a fixture pile up in the summer due to games been off early in the year.

Are they doing the work on the North Stand and installing the digital scoreboard at the same time ready for the World Cup game?

| I think that work was promised as part of the bidding process to get the World Cup Game.
