The RFL today met Super League club representatives to update them on developments at Bradford Bulls and to debate the issues caused by the uncertainty surrounding Bradford’s administration.

RFL Chief Executive Nigel Wood said: “It was a very positive meeting which provided us with an opportunity to inform the clubs of the practical steps we are taking.

“It is clear that the clubs all recognise that the game as a whole has a part to play at this time and their views about the situation at Bradford were aired in a constructive way.

“The Super League clubs gave their full support to our endeavours to ensure Bradford Bulls complete the season.

“The RFL will continue to keep the clubs up to speed with developments during our on-going discussions with the administrator of Bradford Bulls.”

@Halifax RLFC Have you been informed why its just SL clubs meeting? Surely this affects every club in the game so they should all be consulted.

Super League is separate operation and Board from the whole of the RFL even though N Wood is on their Board, so championship clubs dont get invited or have a vote

The Rugby League Council is the organisation where Championship Clubs can add comment and where we can vote, although the way the system is Super League Clubs can outvote us

We should be we are not though. As HalifaxRLFC has posted Super league has nothing to do with the Champioship. Just like Premier League in Football has no connection to the Champioship.

In accordance with the great job New Labour did to the country, I propose we pre fix the RFL and SL with New.

People need to worry less about finances and silly things like sustainability.
Brown famously sold the Gold low, the RFL has only sold its soul, I dont see the problem, you all just need to party on and remember confidence is everything. In the Matrix Neo was told there was 'no spoon', and now im telling you all, there are no bills to pay, its all an illusion, we don't need sponsorship, we need love, love is all you need.

With lots of love and an increased use of the words 'Super' and bringing in the word 'New' to our game everything is as Bob Marley Said 'Gonna be alright', in fact Three Little Birds may well have been written with some weed induced vision of the marvellous job the RFL would be doing in future years with Rugby League.

Philanthropy is a word often underused in RL circles, its got to be the best way of providing an infrastructure that will encourage sustainability. Good housekeeping and personal responsibilty are a complete fallacy, they just don't work.
