Fev 54 - 16 Leigh (Full time)

Fev are doing more forward passes than the NFL, disgusting, the refs in this league are sheite!!!. Watching it on premier sports, holding and niggling in tackles all the time, teams are going to have to get smart and play them at their own game.

They do it every time, but to be honest I don't blame them as it's effective and they can get away with it, like you say maybe we should wise up to all this.

Total hammering so far, Brierley and Ridyard are terrible, and people complain about our half backs.

Dont talk wet, Fev won that game because they were the best team by a country mile, not because they were niggling at the play the ball. Leigh are having a nightmare with injuries but even a fully fit leigh squad would have been beaten tonight. Fev are the bench mark and from what i can see there isnt a team in the championship that can touch them at the moment. Oh and one last thing, Ridyard is a superb player and i would have him at fax any day of the week.

Fair play to Fev....end of match interviews seemed to suggest they wanted us in the final. Not sure whether that's because they see us as the team they're most likely to beat or whether their confidence suggests they'll beat either of us and they'd prefer to win a harder route?

Either way, confidence seems high.

Tomorrow is hard to call but if we do win I'm looking for a bar in Sham El Sheik with a Premier Sports subsciption if anyone can help. Premier Sports won't tell me due to 'Data Protection'. I said that I would have thought that if someone is paying for a subsription then surely they would want to advertise it. No reply yet

My alternative is to delay my flight from Saturday to Monday and meet the family a couple of days later. Someone asked me today if I was hoping Fax lose tomorrow....no way!!

He might be with ball in hand but his flimsy defence cost Leigh many times tonight.

Another top performance by the Rovers. Leigh had a good opening 10 min and never through the towel in but were never in with a real shout.

Just one highlight to some up the attitude of the Fev players, around the 46 / 47 minute mark Rovers were attacking the Leigh line and on the last tackle put a kick in to the right hand corner.

Sam Smeaton competed for the ball but could't just quite haul it in and knocked it dead in goal.
He immediately put the breaks on and instead of ambling back he sprinted like hell to get back into the defensive line.
Leigh did a 20 meter restart as quick as they could and moved to ball the there left and guess who was involved in the next tackle, Sam Smeaton.
This was a seaming insignifcant play in and amongst many others but it sums up the team spirit of this side.

Dom Maloney who looked fairly average (by his previous standards) in his first few games is starting to get his game back and will get better as the season goes on just to add to our woes if we meet againicon_lol.gif

GFB - Penky has brain farts but is still our best player, Ridyard might miss a few tackles but the positive things he does far out weigh the negatives.

Dare- Not jumping to conclusions just stating fact, fev have just ripped leigh apart but yet all we talk about is forward passes and niggling at the play the ball. They beat us fair and square last week so in the last 7 days they have swept aside two of their biggest challengers, they have such a fast defensive line it makes them so hard to break down, im not saying they will win everything just that they are running hot at the mo and setting a standard that we need to be aiming for.

We want Fax because your fans make for a better atmosphere; And its now time to put our squabbles behind us and make for a great final; The majority of your posts are very much appreciated;
