Dont know if its already been posted on here somewhere else but theres a Fund Raising night for David Singer on December 17th at the Fleece at Elland. .The hope is to raise enough money to buy him an electric wheelchair as unfortunately he will never be able to walk again.

It would perhaps be nice if any of those Fev fans who come on here might pass the word amongst their supporters and tried to raise a few bob for David?

I did the London marathon earlier year for Whizz Kids who deal with wheelchairs etc, not sure if its just for kids or adults but might be worth an email. Im also doing next years London Marathon too for a childrens cancer BUT cant see no reason why I cant run for 2 causes perhaps. Its April 22nd next year so will be in full season and maybe the club could get involved, bucket collections etc.

I would like to come along if I can make it and if I would be welcomed.

If I cannot make it I will certainly make a donation.

What format will the fundraising take? If there is an auction I will try and get an item.

Don't know about the format, but, I have no doubt you would be made very welcome.

I am so sorry to hear this dreadfull news about the lad.

I shall pass my contribution to Bentleyman when I see him next month or sooner as per previous post.

what a good night that was, it was fantastic to see fev fans,coach n backroom staff there, never seen a pub so full in years,david looking really good as well, not sure what they made on the night but i should think it will be quite a bit,,

Well done to all and am sure Dave is very appreciative of the help and support. Also well done to the Fev fans and the Fev club who alongside many others from outside the Halifax area helped the event be such a success. Hopefully this will break down the Fax v Fev Negative mindset. If somebody can let us know how much was raised and how much a chair will cost this would be great.

What a great evening. It was a real pleasure and also heartbreaking to meet Dave and his family. Dave should be an inspiration to us all.

We were made very welcome. Fax is a great club with great supporters just like Featherstone. Dave's friend and family hold no grudges and everyone is working together to make his future as good as it possibly can be.

I will certainly try to help with any future events.

I really wanted to attend this event but due to work commitments I couldn't make it. Well done to everybody who supported it and a special mention for Featherstone who came across on the night. Had a good chat earlier with Martin (ovo) and it's very humbling to hear how much they want to help Dave. He was telling me that Daryl Powell bought a Fax polo shirt for £100 which is a great gesture. I know Daryl quite well and he's tighter than me so fair play!

Featherstone are keen to do what they can for Dave & we have some plans in place for next year which will be announced soon.
