| Like most people I am totally disgusted with todays decision based on the facts that we ticked more boxes than other clubs, especially Wakey come on and the one we probably failed on is youth policy which any SL club can always afford to do better than a non SL club, Widnes apart as they have Steve O'Connor to pay for it plus did they not get special dispensation to run one? Also didn't non SL clubs get prevented by the RFL from running an Academy team anyway???
The thing is we must move on and we must be the BEST of the REST and make us the next Widnes, the chosen ones by the RFL and Sky to get a Franchise next time round, make it so they cannot refuse.
How?
Be good both on and off the pitch by being ultra professional, have a winning team as despite what some think if we are the best team in this league it strengthens our case as it gets others on our side and backs up our argument that who goes into SL should be decided on the pitch.
We need to make sure that IF there is another Crusaders -
and Harlequins are vulnerable, how much longer can they survive on those crowds? Then we are ready, if not then if Wakey or Cas still don't have a stadium that fits the SL criteria then we should get in.
Lets bang the door that hard they hear us loud and clear with fans of other clubs shouting for us too.
I cannot see this system staying forever, surely they will replace it one day please God?
But we have to live with it for now and the idiots that hold all the aces so we just have to get on with it don't we?

| It makes no difference though the sad fact is.
we could get 7,000 for the next 3 years, win the title 3 years on the trot, have an all conquering youth set up.
it wouldnt make a difference if Crusaders are back on track they will be back in its as simple as that.

Nah Crusaders are the new Sheffield, Paris and Gateshead they are SL history it did not work first time and won't work ever.
Don't you think Fat Controller Nigel and his sidekick Lewis are fuming about this as they have been totally humiliated by Crusaders?
They might not like us but they won't be fans of Crusaders any more now they have dirtied their ticket.

| rlLicensing FAQ'srl
Quote: "
Clubs are assessed on criteria in 5 key areas
Well based on The 5 key areas, and these are the areas for the last round of Super League Licensing Wakefield would score accordingly
Wakefield
a: Commerical - epic fail, Marketing: epic fail, Media: probably epic fail, Community: I'm sure they did well
b: epic fail
c: epic fail
d: epic fail
e: Got in play offs 1st season and steadily declined each season after
Halifax
a: Commercial - solvent, Marketing: Could certainly do better, Media: Could do better, Community: I'm sure they did well
b: Good, could still be better
c: Solvent and without Super League financing
d: Solvent - So clearly good, although CCC would be a strike against.
e: Not Super League, but 2 Grand Finals and 1 Championship win
So how exactly did Wakefield have a better bid then Halifax. Wakefield were only 41 days old as a company when the handed in their Super League Application. I can only imagine many promises were made and if so they should be held to them or kicked out at the end of the first season. The same for any other team that has made the same promises in this round of applications.

| I said this some 6 months ago
IMO 1st and formost we should set out club up to be the best in this divsion, tick all the boxes, win all our games, Back to back grand finals, NRC, attract players who are knocking on the SL teams doors, keep our club in the headlines for all the right reasons, and the benift for us fans is that we get to watch some smashing RL

| That's what they have to do now. Keep the club at the top of the Championship for the next three seasons and keep Halifax RLFC in the running for a license next time. Maybe then we will be the club that they want or not but until then we will not know.
