Batley losing tonight means they remain 12 points in front of us, however we have 2 games in hand. If we can win our 2 games in hand and beat Batley at their place, it would be close. Batley play Widnes and Fev in their next 2 games and still to play Sheffield. Obviously, we need to win our games but it just shows it could be a lot closer than what it looks at the moment. Any of the teams in-between will slip up on the way too. The destiny lays in our hands. Up the Fax.

Anyway, just to help you keep your positive view alive Jesus mate, now that's not a line I ever thought I'd be writing, I have done a bit of nostradamus future viewing for you, here goes-

After a bad early season, a mid year arrival sees halifax start winning games and make a cup final.

Still slightly inconsistent in the league as July and August pass they finally finish sixth in the table.

Week one of the play offs sees them travel to a mountain in the sky that isn't so pleasant but still sees a comfortable victory.

Week two is away to the new super league yoof where again a victory is achieved.

Week three, no surprise as the team travel to a road near a post office on a Thursday night. Happily this meeting is on a square box in millions of homes and only 800 turn up to watch. This game amazingly goes to extra time, black, Jones, beswick, penky and pats are all marked and makka drops a goal from half way.

THe team get to the grand final and meet Leigh. A second final victory of the season sees the team win the double in their final season before the deserved return to the light of super league.
