If we can play like we did against Bradford, Noble and Calland get the team fired up good and proper, Complete the Sets and Bend their backs then i can see it being the turning point, If we dont complete our sets then i see us getting bombed big time.

Not enough time for Noble to turn it around to win this game but i much improved display and another bonus point.

Why does everyone harp on about how well we played against Bradford, we didnt play that well, it was a game between 2 poor teams that was entertaining. The team that didnt drop the ball the most won, thats why in the 2nd half bulls tactics was 5 drives and a kick, the ball never got past the 1st or 2nd man down the line, cos in the first half it was they score, we score, they score, we score, all off the other teams mistakes, potter saw this and cut out the silly bradford mistakes by resorting to 5 drives. The best of 2 poor teams won.

Yes it was entertaining and we ran a super league team close but we didnt play that well so to speak. Compare that against the cup game V Cas a few years ago, we played bloody well in that game, best in a long time. That Bulls team was very very poor to start with and had kids playing, Leigh or Fev would have beat them, we played better then what we have done yes. I just hope that wasnt our final for the season so to speak. We shall see at Fev how our confidence is and if we have improved, should be a good game and a few of us are going over. Fev are due a blip so hopefully it will be against us.

I think we played well against Bradford... There I said it and why I think this is that we continued for the full 80 minutes. Penky did most of the game, Mikaili ran hard and strong and, although the game was error strewn we had a chance to win it, and had it been a league game we even achieved a bonus point, something we couldnt do in our last match.....

I also think it is too early for the Noble factor to kick in, therefore (glass half full person) I will go for:

We played better in the bradford game than any other this season bar none !!! As i put above we need to complete sets, thats where our errors come from, But we competed for 80 minutes against a full time squad and not once did their heads go down. If they show that commitment for the rest of the season and we get beat every game then so be it, I will take something from that in the fact that they tried their best. All any of us can ask is they try their best everytime they put the shirt on and we get the defense right, ( Nobby to come in here ) then we will be ok come the end of the season.

At the game on Sunday I thought we had played well and maybe i got caught up in the occasion, the fact we were playing the bulls etc. But on watching it back again, the facts are we didn't play much if any better than we have all season. We had a very poor completion rate, high error rate and the same mistakes in defence. What I would say though is that there looked to be a lot more commitment and enthusiasm from the players than we have seen in some of our league games. If they can take that forward but in a controlled way then hopefully we can start to turn things around.

Oh forgot to predict the score after all that. Still think fev will be too disciplined and tactically aware for us. Hopefully we can scrape a bonus point though.

I agree that Noble hasn's had enough time yet but im sure we will see improvements, hopefully in defence, i think we will get the bonus point.

I'd be happy with win of any margin as long as Fax take the three points

i think some are getting carried away. this is equally a tough a test as bulls game imo. think well defend better but lose by 12

Without getting carried away i think we will see a much more enthusiastic fax however i think we will tire towards the end of the game. No doubt we did improve in attack against bradford but we didn't half put some tackles in. If you watch the game again we made a hell of a lot of tackles. I think that will have a effect on some bodies towards the back end of the game. Featherstone will get their tales up and i think it will be a close one.. Btw, Nobles been here less than a week, but i'm sure there will be some changes that he will of already rung around the training ground. i can't see much attacking change as we aren't too bad at that

How much impact will Noble have made in such a short space of time? I can't see it being enough to beat a very good side on their home pitch. I hope I am wrong

We showed the best and the worst of our game against Bradford. However, on watching it again, it is mostly simple and the same mistakes that we keep making. Whilst Noble has no had much time, I'm hoping a fresh pair of eyes can eradicate much of the easy stuff quickly - perhaps not so quickly to beat a very good team like Featherstone, but who knows.

I think one of the major problems we have is the constant changing around of players at half back and hooker. It must disrupt the team massively when the key players making the calls are never the same for more than 15 mins. It is a complete waste of a substitute having both a half back and a hooker on the bench, particularly when Beswick can play half back if necessary. I'd start with Black and Jones at half back and Bob at hooker with Penky on the bench. Whilst Penky has been our stand out player, I think bringing him on after 15 mins with Aizue makes him really effective. As such, bring Penky on after 15 minutes and then leave him to play the rest of the match. Bob should then operate at loose forward, with Sam moving into the second row.
