To raise money for the Fax Builder fund I am organising a sponsored walk to either the Dewsbury or Batley away game depending on which fixture falls on the best date to do the walk. Leigh Fans raised £6000 with 50 people doing a walk so we want to blow that amount out of the water so I am aiming for us to raise £10,000 which will go along way towards raising the £25,000 needed to fund the under 23s team. The sum of £10,000 may seem a lot but all it takes in 100 of our dedicated fans to pledge to raise £100 and it will be reached. We have already had someone pledge to raise £250. I will announce when the walk will take place when the fixtures are released in a couple of weeks I really hope you will all get behind this event and help us all reach our goal for the club we love.

Neil this is a fabulous gesture from you and your team and I do believe the walk can mainly be done walking along the canal side so there will not be many hills.
It may just be easier than one would think ,thanks to you all for your sterling work on Thur night and we will be there to offer any help you may need.

We will be walking the canal way Linda will get the full route plan when the fixtures are released lets just hope the fax fans turn out in numbers for this and we will be on to a winner. I will sit at a desk some where at the shay before every home game before the walk for people to come to get sponsor forms or to sponsor us.
