I'd echo that. I've a lot of respect also for his comment in the Worrier that he felt he was playing for a contract, i don't think he could have done much more than he did to warrent an offer, and i don't think any potential signings should make any difference |

Lets keep hold of him, I rate him highly.
On a linked note, I noticed on the inside of Saturdays courier that he gave up work to concentrate on his rugby,shows a high level of commitment.

There's no talk of a Branighan deal, you would expect that to be publicised now if true.
Looks like Govin will be re-sgined and a good signing that would be IMO.

In the League Express, with Calland talking about Makali and Stanley, it makes mention to Calland on what he is looking for:
'Calland is now looking for a backrower and outside back to complete his 2010 squad'.
Dosen't look like his is now looking for a stand off.
and on Stanley
'He is so versatile - he's a freak of nature really, and can play stand-off, second row and loose forward'.
Maybe Stanley is the stand-off and Govin for cover?

He`s not looking for a stand off cos Branighan has most likely signed. Mick Govin is a class act and deserves a contract IMO.

Deal is done, Signings weren't announced before the end of our season so not to disrupt the current squad.
I'd imagine within the next couple of weeks we'll find out who's not staying as once the dust has settled after the final the players who will be moving on will probably be told. |
