well it wasnt the result that all of us on this board would have wanted but i am really prous of what the club has done this season and the way they have played the game.

i will take this time to Congradulate Barrow you finished top so noone can really complane about you winning the grand final.

some good tries tonight and some very good rugby and a good advert for the game outside super league.

thought the crowd on both sides was very good for the most part apart fromat the end about 2 mins for the end of the game when Barrow scoredf the final try when i could literally swing 9 cats all joined together round in a circle and not hit anoyne. i was annoyed that some of those didnt stay and give the boys the round of applause that they deserved for there seasons effort.

we may have lost but i am really proud of the club and the progression that has been made on and off the pitch over the last couple of years.

well done to the players and the back room staff for the efforts throughout the year.

Mixed feelings. Always proud to wear the Blue and White but I think we've let ourselves down today. In the first 30 mins we should have been out of sight. A bad Said mistake and they went in level. I'm affraid we never looked like winning from there on in. Love the Fax, always proud, not good today tho icon_sad.gif

We need to find that "fear factor". For other clubs i mean. A feeling that once you let Fax get 10 or 12 ahead you've no chance. Hopefully we'll be able to get some of this next year with the current squad + Gene + Aizue.

Yes that was a little dissapointing , as soon as that try went over it was like the January sales , the players didn't deserve that really as they could not be faulted for effort

Yes a lot left quickly but the hardcore fans styayed and clapped the lads after a great effort and a good season. On the game a ref error costs us with two forward passes for barrow 2nd try and the apparent high shot decision did not help when given on cherryholme. Had Patts kicked beter would have been closer but has been great all season so cant fault the guy.Wasnt to be today so move on to bigger and better things next season.

I'd class myself as "Hardcore" but I didn't stop. I don't know why, I always stop and clap my team off win, lose or draw. Something inside of me today just wanted to get the hell out of there at the end. It hasn't even dawned on me until it's just got raised tho.

Watch out the Fax are coming:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_46422.jpg

Why was there very liitle crowd behind posts at opposite end?
Who had those seats allocated?

Overall thought Fax were the most vocal and out numbered Barra supporters.

Really proud of everyone today.

It was never a high tackle by Chezza, the Barrow player slipped,
Dont think Chezza has off loaded this season, shame happened today, but overall had a good game.

Broadbent's puch on Gov when he scored was uncalled for, Broadbent wasnt commited to the tackle. He's a dirty little git, but what a great full back.

Patts had his worse game for us (kicking wise) but he's won us more games than he's lost so no blame can be apportioned.

God knows how Barrow had a bunch of seats in the middle of the North stand in the Fax fans.

Overall, simply a stunning season & proud to wear the blue & white, nothing to be sorry about today.

First of all, Said didn't make a mistake, the ball was punched out by the 2nd Barrow defender entering the tackle, it was a ref's error and judging by the amount of replays Sky were showing of it at the ground they thought so too.

On the day we were beaten by a side that in terms of players were no better than we were, they just got away with their mistakes more than we did. So well done Barrow, you had the rub of the green today, for the neutral it was a great game, I enjoyed most of it to be fair.

I was disappointed by those doing the Wigan walk too but if they turn up next year I'll forgive em icon_wink.gif

Finally if Mick Govin doesn't get a contract for next year there is something seriously wrong.

Gov was taking the ball a long way in the ' in goal ' , and when you do that you leave yourself open for the type of challenge Broadbent made , nothing wrong with it , youd have been happy for one of yours to have done the same

You were right however about the Barrow player slipping into the so called high tackle that resulted in the penalty and then the try

The Metal Ashes of Phoenix metal show on friday nights 8-10pm only on Phoenix FM.:16319.gif

I truly love fax to bits and was one of those fans who left early but had to help a fellow fan who was injured recently to safety before it got crowded and proved a struggle to get out. I do too always stay behind to congratulate the team on a job well done.

However on a serious note I was astonished to read in the courier that there was over 3000 of us lot going to the GF to witness halifax's extreme point in the season!

My point that i would like to make to these fans who came out of nowhere who made it today is now is the time to make fax shine for the next season and get behind the team for good! We are bringing in these new players (Papa New Guinea duo for short) and resigning the core of the rest of our team.

Come on everyone... Let's look forward to the new season and be proud of who we are! icon_cool.gif

there are always people who crawl out og the woodwork for big final games.

you can bet your bottom dollar though that they wont be there at the start of next season.

i recall an incident in football when Halifax Town got to the conference play off final at leicester and the 1500 corr supporters were amazingly joined by nearlly 9,000 other supporters who came from nowhere.

the start of the next season the crowd had raised by 200 at most.

i was glad to see the support but i can bet now that the crowd will be back down to the same as this season for the first game next year.

It makes me laugh when I've read some of your posts criticising the likes of Haighy as being "miserable", but you must be one of the most negative miserable gets on here by a country mile. Didn't look like winning? Jeez, I'm so glad you're not my mate.
