Well now Tony Smith has made Cullen look a bad coach by getting Wire to the Final hes going to do it again by stealing his best players.

i would have loved to have seen vikingwomans face when that was announced!

With Warrington getting to the Cup Final, Smith wants to make sure they have every chance of winning it. You never know, 4 players could get injured next game, and with players loaned out elsewhere, there might not be good enough cover. So he had to recall them sooner rather than later to make sure they are registered for the final.

losing two quality players - Penny is the big loss - can't replace his skills easily

They're not his best players.




I'm not so fussed about Penny going tbh. We can replace him. We still have Gaskell and Flynn who, if you remember, recently scored a hat-trick against Halifax. We also may be able to recall Danny Mills back from Sheffield.

But, with several of our best forwards out injured again, we will struggle with the loss of Pickersgill.

We've already ticked the box for this season though, so no sweat.

Pickersgill is their big loss, dominated our forwards whenever he's played us. Penny is very much like Worrincy, very quick, very raw but extremely vulnerable. They have Flynn, Gaskell and Dodd, not that much of a miss.

Nice to see you have goals. Personally, I want Fax to win everything and am always disappointed when they come up short. I suppose if you're satisfied with box ticking then it's a cheap season and yours ended on the 12th July. Personally i'd rather end our season on the 4th October but there you go - each to their own i suppose.

You lot seem alot more bothered about this than us, yes it would be nice to appear in the GF and prevent another team ticking the box but its not the be all and end all as unfortunetly winning it won't gain you promotion, the life is graduly being sucked out of this league and our sights are set firmly on 2011

Yes, we'd all like to win everything. We are still in a position to do that.

I'm certainly satisfied so far. I'm happy that we've ticked the box already, so it wouldn't be a disaster if we don't get to a GF this year. It doesn't mean I don't want us to get there and win it. I am honest enough to admit that, with our current injury list and the loss of Pickergill, we may struggle to get there.

more than gradually, the RFL are trying to kill it off. no promotion, no chance of team being strong enough to beat or nearly beat SL team by reducing caps, just wants as feeder teams for the elite.
some of which are not very elite.

To be fair, it was Jimmy Lowes who was struggling when Smith came in, and i for one wouldnt mind Mr Cullen down the Shay, has 1 trophy in the bag so far and has potential for more.
Tony Smith for me let us down in the World Cup last Year, he has done it at Super League Level, was found out at the next step up, and i wouldnt say no to him down the Shay either.lol.

Shame for Pickers going back, tbh really gutted about that. Can see why though in fairness. As for kev, saw it coming for a while. Ah well, won't make a difference, W**e will still balls it up at Wembley.
