The answer to the question is that he is looking for his stand-off to pass to (who is obviously not there). It's not his job to take the line forward on his own.

Exactly. What has Calland got to lose. This season is rapidly going the way of last season anyway.
Callands biggest mistake this season was not signing a good stand off to lead us round the park and now its more obvious than ever. We have the two best hookers in the league and they are excellent when rotated between themselves but we have made one of them look like a right pratt by playing him most of the season at SO, a role that he hasnt being able to fill.

Where was Larder? Govin? People didn't play last night need to be given a chance next week because they can't do any worse.

You can't blaim Ben black for last night you can't rely on one man to turn a game around, we didn't even have the ball for him to turn it around. I think in the second half we only completed two full sets

After all the talk on here of 'Black blasting us to make up for his other dropsy' it was hilarious.. but there's still no doubting his quality. One of the first plays he was involved in was a brilliant flat pass that would have led to a try but for a terrific pass.

I think you are right that he just needs a foil for his creativity.. someone to take the weight of responsibility off his shoulders a little.

Bowman is one for the future we should get an experienced stand off for him to learn off for next season.Have to agree about cherryholme he's just not good enough the same can be said about watene he does not do enough.
