lots of points. Gibbo scoring a hattrick and setting up a couple shame we couldnt fit him in to our squad this season.

Still think we should have offered him a contract. Can still do a job at this level wherever in the back line he plays. Maybe not first choice but he is a quality back up/utility.

Gibbo being allowed to move on is just about the only thing I would disagree with Matt and Martins decision making.
He did so much more for the club than just playing like a hero virtually every game.

He is also doing a Lands End to John o Groats bike ride. He said he hasnt been on a bike for about 4 years, hasnt even got a bike and hasnt yet got any sponsors, but he is doing it in the next few weeks.
What a task !!!
Bill Arthur said that if you are interested in sponsoring him to go to Calderdale.ac.uk where he works for details. I have just been on the site and I cant find anything about it?

I thought he was offered a contract but thought it wasn`t enough by the time he got back to them he had gone over the date he was given as Martin and Matt needed to sort a team out. Just like Holroyd unfortunatly if you are given an offer and you say you will think about it you have a deadline to either reject or accept and they missed it.

Shame we couldn't fit him in but Matt knows what he wants and I guess we just have to trust him. |

That's probably true and Gibbo shouldn't really expect any more than that at his age and stage in his career, and I wouldn' be surprised if a number of the other players on a similar arrangement with win bonuses. They'll be very happy this season. |
