Always thought he was quite decent but didnt seem to settle in any position. Agree about being bitten...it would be typical of us.

was a good player to have in the squad to cover a few positions.
hopefully someone on the way in for cover now, know MC n MH wont let us down.

Always thought he did okay for us, nothing outstandingly good to remember, but never let us down either.

Let's hope that MC is making space in the salary list to bring in more new faces before the deadline closes.

No-one likes to see players leave, but we need to keep moving forward and building for the future.

Didn't he give away that STUPID penalty on the last tackle under our own sticks against Widnes in the NRC semi to let them get back at 22-22? Now he's left, I can honestly say I'm glad ... he vastly underperformed IMO.

And didn't Blacky drop that ball with the line beckoning to put the game out of reach? You can't just blame Barker for losing that, there were other factors involved as well TF.

Black got us in the position to win the game though

Dwayne has always been a bit part squad member and never stamped his mark on the first team.
He was one of the players vulnerable to the cut and he obviously didn't step up to match MC's expectations.

Given the small size of the squad, I would say that MC would not have let him go if there wasn't somebody else already lined up to replace him.

The best game he had was against Cas where i thought he was outstanding at times, especially at getting the ball out of the tackle. Good luck at Fev Dwayne sorry it didnt really work out here but thats Rugby League.

Barkers had more clubs than tiger woods, you should know that a player who's travelled about that much is pretty gash.

As for Barker, think he's have been best suited playing in the centres for us, but we have better centres so wise decision to let him leave.

Hartley = Salford, quins and Fax and now Widnes.



Barker = Leeds, Hull KR, Hull, Castleford, Quins, Halifax and now Featherstone

There's a difference between a genuine error and stupidity, TS. Put it this way, I'd rather Barker play against us than Black.

In certain situations ... yes. Giving away a penalty on the last tackle under your own posts is .... for want of a better word ..... stupid. I can't think of any other way to describe it. (Especially when the offence is blantant foul play, like ball stripping).

Barker had the potential to do very well for us, he showed glimpses of what he could do but never kicked on from there, we've had too many players like that and while I never tore into him like some fans have done I don't think we'll be worse off without him.
