He will have been in pot since it happened which is the usual way of treating a scaphoid break. He will have then been re-scanned after having the pot off to see if the bone has healed or if there is still mal-union meaning that surgery I.e. pinning is needed. It seems the bone has not healed properly and now needs surgery. |
