He's great,isn't he? Also the most one-eyed, tunnel-visioned and biased commentator I've ever come across. You ought to hear him on some of the old Bluesox v Cas vids I have. Bloody hilarious; especially the nicknames that he gives the players.

Does anyone know if he has been doing the Cas commentary for a long time?
I only ask because I remember watching a video from a Cas v Halifax game, years ago, (probably 20). Watched it in the Taverners mid-week after we went to Wheldon Road and won. I was only about 15 years old, and even back then I was in bits laughing. I seem to remember the commentator had some great nicknames. He simply called Mike Ford, Ubiquitous. As in the Ubiquitous Mike Ford. But he left out the Mike Ford bit.
Is it the same guy?

That sounds so much like the Yorkshire TV Scrumdown commentator - David Watkins/John Helm. Are you sure it wasn't them? All Helm was saying during that match was ......."what a huge man Peter Bell is". He must have said it five times. We murdered Cas that day. Les Holliday & Bob Grogan ripped 'em to shreds.

That reminds me of the blinder Bloemy came out with on Radio Leeds a few weeks back when commentating on a game.

I know what you mean Littlerich but this was definatley a club ran commentary, from Castleford. Poor camera work with fantastic commentary.

Watkins/Helm were good, I remember Helm commentating on our replay against Hull in 88. Great Stuff

Thought you were on about Radio Cas (Leeds) then for a moment, as whenever I hear any of the Cas games they are as biased as h*ll.
