does any one know if the club will be running transport to the northern rail 9's as the club will be taking part on the saturday? and hopefully in the final on the sunday.

Yes there are people going. I bought my ticket so I'm going. That could be the reason I asked about travel.

Would have loved the trip to Blackpool for the crack but since we are going to France the week after and we are not in the main event I thought I would save some money.

Yes we are going and it`s surprisingly a good deal for a weekend of rugby .The ticket (only £5 for me as I am a pensioner) entitles me to 2 days of watching the 9s at Fylde .Then if they get into the final at Bloomfield Rd you get a complimentary pass to that.
We are staying at the Imperial and on the Sat night we have booked for the official dinner that is to take place in the hotel next door. Mark Preston is joining us on the table and if anyone wants to join us we have a couple of places left.
I will not be traveling to France so we decided to do the 9s instead.

According to the Fax website, we play Featherstone at 12 o'clock, Workington at 3.30 and Whitehaven at 5 o'clock.

Havent the RFL said that clubs must put out "strong" teams? We dont have a reserve team or juniors at present, so whoever we put out will be of 1st team standard

I would think the lads will want to play as there is a nice bit of prize money to play for so I would think there will be a good team to go out. Plus isn`t the winners at Blackpool going into the Sooper Dooper 9s at Headingly?

Nice to see Toulouse get three weekends off before our game over there! They won't be running the risk of losing players!

Yeah but they'll have forgotton how to play, they'll have got bored and turned to binge eating (baguettes are really filling) and we'll have had a training session for our backs in Blackpool. RFL conspiracy? Nah.
