i was just wondering why we are not playing this weekend most of the other teams seem to be doing.

are we supposed to be playing gateshead this weekend, is that why we have no game.

does anyone know why we have no game.

Its to give Widnes another chance to get closer to us in the table.

They get their 'bye' weeks later in the season so that they get a rest nearer rto the play-offs (if they make them!!).

It is bye time. The table looks weird. We've only lost one and yet everyone else is so close - what with games out of hand and bonus points. Our next match will see us trying to get top spot back from Barrow.

Sheffield at home

We could do with Sheffield doing us a favour. Did anyone see Boots N All? 11 new players paid for by the chairman after promotion because he wants the team in SL. Is it good throwing money at a team to make them perform? What if he gets bored and the money is no longer there? I think they could be making a rod for their own back.

Theres nothing wrong with some short term success because a club has a money man prepared to splash the cash. Look what happened to us in the mid eighties under David Brook. Nobody looks back on that era and says it was a bad thing. Halifax gained a lot of fans that are still there today because of the success of the late 80's.
I say good luck to Barrow they deserve a bit of success and I hope they secure the runners up spot.

You have 2. We only have 11 teams in our league, so you have to miss a "home" game & the "away" one against the missing 12th team
