Great result for batley, but a poor crowd, as others have said on threads, god knows how clubs can afford to keep going when they get crowds below 1000

Barrow are a masive threat to our top spot. Great result for Batley too well needed. Good luck to Rhino exsept when they play us.

Next week should be interesting:

Barrow v Sheffield (Sheffield are the in form team at mo)
Batley v Widnes (Could Batley get a shock win?)
Fev v Leigh (Should be a Fev win but Leigh are no mugs)

I agree about Sheffield being the form team but Barrow at home will be to much for Sheffield I think. Had it been at Sheffield then who knows ? Batley have had a good win at the weekend so will fancy their chances against a Widnes side lacking confidence. The Fev V Leigh game could go either way but I would say Leigh may have a little to much for Fev - Again a tight one.

I have to agree I think Barrow will have too much for Sheffield up there (hope I am wrong) I know Sheffield are playing really well at the moment but they really did get us on a very bad day. We need to beat Barrow and beat them well in a few weeks in our next League game.

I am going to go for Sheffield as think they can beat anybody at the mo and have the confidence to do it. It will be a couple of points in it. It is good to see a very competitive league with shocks a plenty and the possibility anybody can beat anybody. What were the odds on Batley beating Haven? Its also good to see Barrow & Fev doing well and for me adds something to the League instead of having the usual suspects in the top 4 like Widnes, Leigh, Fax, Haven as has often been the case in the past

Batley played well,Haven looked as though they couldn't be bothered.McNally did nothing,except roll around pretending to be injured and then look as if he was about to cry at the final hooter.McGilvray scored 5 tries and they let him take the kick to convert his last try.Have seen Batley 4 times now and they have got better everytime

You should have seen when he almost died at the recre after taking a completely legal shot off Dave Larder. Down like a sack of spuds.

I have to say I agree 100% that its a very competitive league but I predict Barrow to beat Sheffield as Barrow smashed a very good Featherstone side yesterday but like ive said I hope im wrong and you are right. Sheffield will make it tough for Barrow though.

Harris went off after 12 Minutes injured-looks like out for the season! Bad news for them. Guess they lost the main person to guide them around the field though they were doing OK at HT and then just could not tackle according to reports
