Widnes were 24-6 down when I first looked.

They need to win tonight, they've let everybody in for nowt, will look a bit stupid if they lose. But with Steve McCormack at Gateshead he'll be wanting a win.

Bit OT but I wonder if steve Mc will look at Taking Fat Boy Nanyn to Gateshead, he aint had a look in at Quins, and has followed McCormack about before and been involved in the scotland set up.

If we went into every school in halifax and gave away Free tickets to the kids, with free entry to an adult with them, then I am sure we would get a pretty hefty crowd, depending on the visitors an perhaps it would be a good marketting ploy, although it would be costly and would wind up some of the season ticket holders (not me).

I think Widnes have already told season ticket holders that if they renew they will have £14 deducted from the cost to compensate for this match.

Sheffield are on fire at the moment and that could be a turning point for Widnes coming back from 24-0 down.

This just proves that we need to get our spark back and start playing like we were a few weeks ago.

Can`t see us geting our spark back for the next match.Whilst most people think a week off will do them all good I have reservations about it.
If they were all going on training camp together and having a bit of light training and focusing their minds on these big matches coming up I would think differant.But as most are just going away I fear they will lose the focus and they will still be on their jollies when they get back.
I hope I am wrong as they deserve the break.

I think its a fine balance that you need to get right. I know they need a rest and when they get back from holiday they will be able to train better on the lead up to the Leigh game.

I agree, its the way forward. We will never get back those fans lost in the wilderness years, so we now need to concentrate on the next generation of fans, the kids. Free tickets for kids need to be accompanied by a free ticket for an adult, or even free family tickets, set up an area in the new stand for them,give them their own entertainment etc, we have to bite the bullet re cost, as long term it will be beneficial.

Who's going to pay for that? Money doesn't grow on trees. This is why i feel that we need a big money backer to get anywhere near Super League.

It will be interesting to see the gates for the Leigh cup game and the Barrow game as I feel they are both big games in our season and I think Leigh will bring a few hundred fans but Will Barrow bring any amount of fans given how well they are doing and how big the match is? I think not. I feel the club need to charge £10 for adults, £5 for children at the Leigh game.
