The Couriers Calderdale Sports Awards were presented last night, and the winner of the Professional Sportsman of the Year went to..................
Luke O'Brien who plays for Bradford Sh!tty.

That is really bad for the image of Halifax as a sporting town AT ALL! What do our professional Sportsmen have to do to get them selves into the public eye?  I'd never even heard of the guy until the Courier Awards.
I am VERY VERY happy that Harry Brown came away with an award though. The lad is pure inspiration.  |

Some no name wendyballer who plays for a crap Soccer team wins- not good and agree the profile of the club and the players despite all the good work needs to be pressed home even more. Some of that lies with us though as we should be encouraging people (Friends, relatives and workmates) to get down alongside the work the club does.

Maybe 'Fax arent as popular in Halifax as you of you may like to think?

its easy to work out, a young kid with loads of mates with mobiles, he as just got them all to vote, then in turn get there mates to vote, u know what kids are like with mobiles they text for fun,, just like the amateur football, should have been won by micky nevil for every thing he as done for the local football over the years,, so i would read nothing in to these awards, the real winners dint get the awards,
