If they don't then I can't see us finishing above Leigh given their signings and the fact that they are full time and with a huge point to prove. John with due respect this was an offer for Charlie alone,I'm surprised at you they say never bet against your own team, have you no faith in Fax?I'm tired of people like Charlie keep telling us how Superior Leigh are so I gave him the put up or shut up offer.He keeps telling me what a sporting clown he is and I really fancy Fax to come good next year regardless of Leighs predicament on if they get a points deduction.

Enough points to finish bottom wasnt it and stripped of their titles. Its impossible for Leigh to break the cap though as with Chase the RFL are refusing to register him as it takes Leigh well over the cap. They could go down the route of playing Chase or any other players though buts its unlikely the players would go for it as if they break their leg or pick up a bad injury their insurance would be null and void.

It does explain why Leigh are looking to offload players though and their fans do not want to believe that the likes of Ridyard have been offered around other teams.

GFB- where are you getting your information from that the RFL are refusing to register chase ?.

If they do break the salary lcap the points deduction won't come in effect until the season after will it?

I would also like to know where GFB has got his info about the RFL refusing to register Rangi, I'm sure most Leythers would like to know if this is true.

It was mentioned in the RL press 2 weeks ago that the RFL had the option to refuse to register players knowing that the wages they were on would breach the cap, whether they do that or not is in their hands.

On a side point, Paul Rowley stated that Leigh were a busted side by the time the 8's started, injuries had taken there toll and when the season ended 9 would be going under the knife!!
Leigh had one of the largest squads last season but are reported to be looking to release players to sign Chase.
How will that work out over next year injury wise with a smaller squad if the same happens, especially to the star player.

Lots of hand, elbow and knee injuries was it ?. Self inflicted I reckon .
