There should be no leniency at all and I doubt any Town fan would want it. As with all of us, who are unfortunate to have a mortgage, the roof over the head is the first thing that should be paid. Its not panic stations yet though and even if Town go down I have faith that David Bosomworth will ensure the club can still operate within its means and there will be no looming financial disasters. (Please dont quote me on this in the future)

The wrc is a nonsense cup think everyone agrees here.The real cup continues on sunday when town are one of eight ties to be covered by the beeb.

With a "massive" windfall I believe.

Not 100% sure it's correct but if Town don't play in the WRC then they will get kicked out of other FA run cups so potential big revenue earners would be lost.

correct Town only play in it as they have to.Dont know how Bradford/Leeds/Shudds got out of it..must be an opt out at league level now.

That was going to be my next question because I seem to remember a few seasons ago when they were doing well an outcry from their supporters about how many games they had to,play and how it was effecting their playoff hopes.

WRC doesn't really count in a fixture backlog as the players used comprise of 50 year old manager/coach youth teamers and out of favours.

I thought they had to play x amount of players from their previous league match, or who had played a certain number of games during the season.

In the squad of 16 last night,not one of them started at Eastleigh on saturday.
