I've recently refrained from posting much on the messageboard because of a few factors, one of which I'm connected to the club in an official capacity and another factor is that, whatever we say or think as supporters won't help at all with the current downturn in the squads' form.
I also don't like posting negatives, sure I'm pi$$ed at losing, sure I'd rather win ugly, sure I'd rather we hung in for a bonus point when losing, but I don't see as me posting on a messageboard will inspire the coaching staff or players onto victory.
I happened to drop into the office this morning on a little bit of business and I bumped into Hilda washing the kit, heart & soul of we volunteers, DEVASTATED ! We go back a long way me & Hilda, we care about the club/players/performances & everything that goes with it, we are one so to speak.
I go into the office and I cannot believe the comments being quoted from the messageboards about sacking Matt, but it wouldn't just be Matt would it, there's Proccy, Bally and Gonzalez, they're a team.
Comments about Calland wearing a BLACK TRACKSUIT !!! Perhaps his washing machine's broken and his down on his $hitty luck right now, we all know how it goes I'm sure.
Hally has done a runner !!!

Good grief, maybe I should cease reading & posting on the messageboards, worst season ever ???
Look at the attendances at Workington, Rochdale, Oldham, Keighley, Hunslet for recent games, we're really not that badly off.
And just for a comparison, I wish we had a Ken Davy, Des Johnston to throw money at our club, but we haven't so we're reliant on folks working their tired a$$es off in the good name of Halifax RLFC, Am still proud of my club and hope to be at the front of the queue for a GF ticket to watch us beat whoever we are playing against.

Well they were on the p1ss in Blackpool Saturday night according to many people. Do not mind 1 beer but not getting sozzled as apparently happened

bottom line is any team is going to lose games,

its the mannor in which we have lost the last four games that is upsetting!

From a spectators point of view - to team has gone from winning week in weekout to losing week in week out

Agin from a spectators point of view the team deos not seem to be gelling the way it was 10 games ago!

Something is wrong and its down to the coaches and players to put it right!

all i am asking for is a good match day experiance with a team that is competative, right now that is not the case!

and for the record i am 100% behind my club - but something is just not right at the moment!

Abusing the players is not the answer - let's get behind them.

However, I do not agree with the blind faith shown by some on here. Everybody has to take criticism in their working life. In fact if you can't take it, how can you ever improve?

The game at Batley is a cup final. If we get 17 players giving 100%, it will be hard for us to lose. That is why I expect us to win (with all due respect to a Batley team who will make it hard for us).

I miss very few matches and, unfortunately, there are always loads of fax "fans" that continually abuse players! at the moment Worrincey is getting the brunt but not too long ago it was Miles (unbelievably!!!) it seems that a large proportion of the crowd just aren't happy unless they are targeting one of our own players.

To me this isn't what suporting a team is about. i'll cheer on any player wearing that shirt. How do these "fans" feel that abusing players will get the best out of them?!?!?!

Oh to be a Fax fan....I travelled from MK to watch fax on Thursday,got home at midnight!! Sure I was dissapointed!! But keep the faith...THIS IS the best season i've seen since 98! If we don't get anything out of this season,with the stand complete,the core of a good squad,names to sign bein banded about,the future looks bright!! Keep smilin...it is only a game after all!!

I feel a tad humble at reading the posts on here, more so the thread starter Malfax, and I feel slightly embarrassed about my own moaning.

I think the crux of it, for me anyway, is that we started the season on fire with some of the most entertaining rugby played by Halifax for over 10 years, and as such I really did think we were an outstanding team, far better than our NL1 rivals. So when the wheels "seemingly" started falling off I found it hard to take, especially after being so confident of reaching the NRC Final - I was planning the weekend trip to Blackpool well in advance, and to lose against Widnes was gutting.

But in reality, even though we have of course some very good players, we are NOT so much better than our rivals. Infact there are some very good players in our league who DON'T play for Fax, and it's a bluddy tough league, especially at this stage of the season. To moan at losing at Sheffield is .... well ... it's totally ridiculous.

And let's face it, if the lads didn't try then we'd lose matches 60 nil.

So .... I for one will no longer moan and groan, and I will continue to shout for the lads in the matches to come.

And I have also just stuck £100 at 13/8 for Fax to win the GF, to demonstrate my faith. Up the Fax!
