If Fax played that style of rugby i would stop watching im affraid, Each to their own but i find it slow and boring watching laying on tactics, Dont get me wrong as a fev fan you are winning so thats all that matters but as a neutral i find it boring, I much prefer the faster game which was supposed to be the way the game was headed and at the begining of the season the RFL brought something in for the refs that was supposed to speed up play of the balls, Look at the NRL, Fast flowing big hitting Rugby league.

Must say though your line speed is awesome at the moment and you dont need to slow it down so much.

Having said all that tonights game will be one man mud rugby if it goes ahead and will be poor viewing, I hope Karl has come up with something new this week. We will wait and see.

well it's been howling it down for most of the morning here in Rovrum tho this last ten mins it's slowed to a drizzle. The DVS drains well so unless the Riven Don has risen 30 feet I'm not expecting the game to be postponed.

I was in Rovrum in your neck of the woods Robin in Rawmarsh doing some work for 2010 when the last deluge happened and boy did it come down, lets hope it doesn't get as bad this time round irrespective of tonights game it's hard to descibe the mess it left in many areas if you didn't see it first hand.

The tactics Fev employ are the type tha will turn people off if they want to watch he game for its entertainment factor, die hards of any team will probably love it if their team employ them and win.
Personally the open rugby we played at Fax over the last few years was so exciting to watch it (occasionally) make up for the odd loss, though it was still frustrating but 'd have any of our 6's back at the moment.

Rawmarsh eh??? That's where I live - straight across from the big park on the hill!!! It's like Helman province in some areas - and it's very pleasant in others - but when the rains came t'other year boy did it come down! The don and dearne both burst their banks leaving a lot of folk still counting the cost.

It's still grim here and I dread to think what the outcomne would be if there is another day like this. No matter how the pitch drains, it's been fairly torrential al day. I'd keep checking with your club before setting off.

Yup, I'm quite happy with how my team are performing. Our crowds are going up nicely as are our opponents crowds when Fev are in town - not just from the away support either!

Yes mate I was there on and off over a 3 to 4 year period when 2010 were doing a lot of the refurbs on the former council properties.

Bramalls were the main contractors and they had their compound behind a big pub near one of the main rounabouts but I can't remember the pubs name.
As you turned down the side of the pub on the left was some kind of huge processing plant and on the right a football pitch.

Well thats the point we all like something different, i have watched the game twice since last night and every tackle there are loads of stuff going off that fascinate me i love that type of rugby, maybe im stuck in the 70s but i dont really care for me its very entertaining and the fact were winning makes it even more enjoyable.
I have watched Fax a few times this year and your not this exciting athletic team your coach seems to think, i would say Rovers backs and certainly half backs are much more athletic

I must be watching a different game to some of you lot, when we scored 42 points in the 1st 40 mins against Keighley a few weeks ago it was one of the most entertaining halves iv ever seen, sparkling rugby, same when we beat Pia. I have seen Fax several times this year and if you want to think your playing much more exciting rugby than us then fair play, but i certainly dont think you are. Lets see how open and exciting you are tonight

Agree with you that we aren't as exciting as we have been in the past but what a thick thing to of course tonight is gonna be a dour battle

Sure a team containing supreme athletes like Robinson, Hesketh, Azui etc will be able to play exciting rugby in any conditions
