Just watched highlights on KRTV and looked ok to me. Can't comment on the head high (think that's what ref signalled) as I didn't see it and isn't online yet. Think robbed is a stretch based on those two.

Fax played well and could easily have gone on to win the game. Last 15 mins killed you off as you had no possession. Your completion rate must easily have been in 90's which is a great effort.

We had Addy called back from a definite off load, that he went into contact to make and Moore said the tackle was completed, we were in there, we had a four on two over lap.

Similarly, Masoe off loaded to a player stood two metres behind him, it was called a knock on.

The coach and players said the same after the game in interviews and on social media. Usually you end up with a pretty even penalty count with 2 even teams but there was no way that was going to happen yesterday which as a fan is very frustrating to watch. Just one classic example was getting a penalty against us for not standing square only to see a couple minutes later Moore get tackled by a marker stood next to his team mate and the ref wave play on. It happens obviously but for a part time team its crucial they get somewhere near the rub of the green. I find it hard to believe that KR were so much more disciplined around the rook than us but the manner of penalties against both teams suggests they were.

On to Widnes which, with no disrespect to KR, is going to be a massive step up in quality and we will need a similar performance to even compete. We have shown we are more than capable of that though.

Totally gutting in end but a fantastic performance all round.Have to say the Barber/Heaton combo has been a revelation and they nearly came up with the winning play at the death.

The difference i believe was the strength of the Hull KR bench which found us out in the end. I do think we gave them a real scare but can see HKR now getting stronger as the new halfback settles in.

A great all round performance and with one or two injured players coming back into contention, we should get stronger - things are looking exciting for the next match - I can't wait.

Halifax must have worked on targeting Minns and Carney and you could see that Carney did not trust Minns one bit and he ended up making them both look silly as Barber and Heaton took them apart time and time again.

A very committed performance. My own view on Widness is that they offer little more than Hull KR and in some respects less, particularly if some of their key players are not 100%. I think we have more chance of getting on the front foot against their pack so let's not underestimate ourselves.
On the penalties yesterday yes I think the ref needs to review the balance he applied. Thought we did lack impact off the bench . Young Douglas and Morris played very well, how about young Nelmes for a bench spot in preference to Mammone.
