This fixture change doesn't affect me as much as many others as I get fridays off and will make a night of it but poor do for our first away game of the season that lots of fax fans won't be able to make it.

How has it only just come to light that the ground/stadium is booked for use by the university? The fixture list was released on the 18 October 2015, that's 3 MONTHS ago!!! Ineptitude of the highest order!!!

They will have known, but, by leaving it as late as possible inconveniences both supporters and players.
They play this pathetic game every season and the RFL let them get away with it.

We objected to the change when Sheffield requested it on the basis that their ground 'may' be unavailable. We objected again when they said it was unavailable, offering to play any time on Saturday, or on Sunday Evening. That produced the statement that the ground was unavailable because of University Fixtures. We explored the possibility of reversing the fixture but (a) that would have added to the high number of 'double headers' at the MBI Shay in the winter/early spring which is undesirable, and (b) we would extend our absence from Home in summer to 7 weeks, with no certain benefit as Sheffield may still want to play on Friday in June.

So it would seem the Eagles want to play all their home games on Fridays. Right to their advantage that one in a predominantly amateur league. How are they allowed to get away with that?

And does that shed they are playing in even have floodlights?

Its nothing to do with getting an advantage, it genuinely is to do with availability of the field. You'll find most Eagles fans are as annoyed as you are, especially the ones who have bought season tickets assuming it would be Sunday.
