Why would you do it behind closed doors
Even if its just a training session charge people a few quid to come and watch them train
Missed opportunity if you don't ,

I think that has to be the answer, it's a shame but if that's what they want?
Perhaps if that's what they are worried about they could sell a ticket at the club shop, apply in person?

Just turn up in a high-vis jacket and a clipboard and say you're from the council - ground safety inspector and it'll take about 80 minutes to thoroughly inspect the ground, test the pie and mash and check the acidity of the beer.
