Just to let you know that I've collected all your constructive complaints about the ticketing issues, at LSV, and emailed them to Leigh Centurions, with a view to them trying to influence the stadium management, over the introduction of cash turnstiles.

I hope you don't mind me using your comments, and I hope they are instrumental in forcing a change of admission policy. Thanks for the ammo.

Me too - another excellent RL stadium, despite it's soccer origins!

Yer true we must keep reminding people that we need a four sided stadium so we can get Representative RL matches at the Shay and who knows Town may get some football Representative games too?
Remember Widnes was only 3 sided until recently, then we will have a stadium to be proud of - provided the staff keep it well maintained!!!

That's quite a worrying thought and will be more of a challenge than actually getting it built!

council have already said once the new stand finished that they will start on trying to get the skircoat stand rebuilt.

if you were to duplicate the east stand once finished, to replace the skircoat, I think the ground would lose some of its charm to be honest.

Besides, im fed up of the shay being a building site after 10 years, will be nice to have 4 functioning stands for a while

Well I don`t know as I am not privvy to what goes on but I cannot see the Skircoat stand being used much if at all once the new stand is opened. Just hope they keep it looking tidy and not let it be used for growing the Triffids like the ones growing in some parts of the ground now.

when the east stand is completed, we will (in my mind) have the perfect setup:

-One brand spanking new seated stand
-Two standing terraces where the nutters can jump about and sing
-A traditional/historic stand

what more could you want?

Like I said the Skircoat will rarely be open.

But it should be open for every game , with 200 free family tickets , no bar , no family no entry , find sponsors to provide free merchandise and free or cheap refreshments , bouncy castle , face painting , clowns , various other entertainments , giveaways , tickets only given out through schools or other kids organisations

800 people in it every game , nobody gets in more than twice a season

good idea, presume separate entrance too to ease the congestion. hunger hill could be used.

Totally separate from the rest of the ground , do it for the next 5 years and you will be pulling in 5/6,000 per match in the Championship

I would love for them to do something like that but I can`t see it they will not want to pay for the extra stewards and stuff.

That's why you get Calderdale council to sponsor the new Calderdale community Skircoate stand , it is a council ' facility ' is it not ?

get the council to pay for it!
