One thing which will help us A GREAT DEAL in the last couple of rounds of matches, is that the losing teams in our rivals matches don't get bonus points. I think a Barrow win by more than 12 is the best result for us.

Best result all round at the moment in my opinion. Times run out for Barrow to throw the title away now so 2nd with a home tie for the final is still a good outcome in the current circumstance (and in fairness everyone would have taken that in March to)

Also our friends from Leigh are losing 8-2 at Gateshead. If they lose that they really will be desperate. Win and they'll be safe. I think I'd rather Fax play a desperate Leigh than a safe Leigh.

But Batley were desperate AND confident. Leigh's confidence is worse than ours!! A safe Leigh might relieve a massive pressure valve and will make them play better. IMHO of course.

I figure if they win their safe. Nothing left to play for the season (cant reach play offs). So motivation and enthusiasm will be lower than Fax's.

Both points about which Leigh team to play are valid, but the main point is Leigh are crap and we should have no problem beating them. I dunno why but, while obviously being disappointed with every loss in the past weeks, id be very disappointed if the lads cant beat Leigh whatever they're playing for

Funny you should make your comment about the Leigh game, Tommy, I too .... despite our horrendous run ... am VERY confident about beating Leigh .... and Toulouse, both teams aren't very good, let's face it, and surely we shouldn't be getting beat by these 2, otherwise we really DO have problems!

Also Leigh lost 30-24. As Gateshead have to play Donny, and Leigh have Haven as well as us, it's looking very tough for Leigh.

Barra have a tricky match at Sheff but should beat Gateshead at home which will see them finish top.

Yes but they have bought about another 20 players since then.

Spot on and in fairness to Donny, Leigh and Toulouse are the worse two teams we have played this season.

So we need to go in to the Leigh game pumped up not only is second still achievable but we can help relegate a team that in all likelyhood will be stronger next season.

A trip to Barrow, and even if we lose a 2nd chance at home against a team that'll probably have played less than a week previously (remember all the attempted messing around with dates last year?).

And lost Campbell, Bell, Brocklehurst, Dutton, Butler, Finch, McDermott, Holt.

To be fair, Rooney has only played 5 times for us and the Oldham lads 3 maximum. We were also pretty unlucky to lose at Craven Park and gave you a pretty good game at The Shay during our form 'dip'.

Picked up more points in the last 5 games than the rest of the season!!!





Don't underestimate Leigh. If you hadn't have underestimated Sheffield, Batley and Gateshead, you would have wrapped up this league some time ago.

Its along time ago now, but Leigh is the only side not to have lost to Widnes in the Championship this season!!

i actually like leigh as a club but there squad next season is going to be good.

if leigh get relegated then them putting together a franchise bid upto the standard of other teams will be extremely unlickly.

if they stay up then we may get pushed further down the pecking order in terms of franchise places.
