Given up on team selection with the Woody and LJ scenario accept to say no one else would play them that way round and apart from Kyle the only ones happy about him doing that are himself and the opposition coaches and players.

Coming home from the Oldham debacle I wasn’t thinking a couple more loose forwards are what’s needed here but what do I know..

Having never seen so many players playing out of position, after the Doncaster and Oldham games I was thinking where our next win would be coming from but only having half a brain apparently whatever you know is twice as much as me but only a quarter as much as Kyle. Lol.

Another new recruit today..big bustling prop or damaging centre...please...

No,just another kid but great to have Douglas back in contention..

These young lads might turn out to be good signings for us but like as been said they play in positions we don't need to strengthen.


In the week Jack Teanby leaves York for the cougars he could of done a job for us. And Josh Hodgson who was a good centre for Batley now a cas player joins the Eagles on loan. They are just a couple of examples of players who would improve us without spending a fortune but I get the feeling that Kyle prefers young academy super league players over proven championship players, he will learn the hard way if he doesn't get the balance right.

Unfortunately this is what we have become. A vehicle for SL clubs to use as a means to give their young lads and injured players game time. Such a shame!

Glad they missed that last gasp kick so your 600th wasnt a losing one..on balance we were lucky to get a draw though.

Where do you start with that. Selection in the backs baffled me but no surprise really. Forwards other than Dixon who was injured i think Kyle got it about right.

Alfie Johnson is a real threat with his energy and pace but Nofoaluma is no fullback. He does carry strong but under the highball he is too casual which lead to him dropping some high kicks plus he was caught out of position which lead to a 40-20. So we have him and Joufrett who are both poor under the highball Nofoaluma is the stronger taking the ball in but Louis is better with ball in hand. Just get Woodburn-hall back there problem solved.


Over the 80 minutes that was probably a point gained, i would question some of the refs calls especially at the end of the game  as for us we look like a unsettled side especially our defence out wide which is down to playing players out of position plus chopping and changing the side. That said when we get it right there is points in that side if we do click so hopefully we can come friday night.
