It has been rumoured but not reported by the club that by receiving an advance from the rfl at the backend of last season put us in special measures, similar to the salford debacle but on a smaller scale . It's my guess on reading between durgans response to player recruitment that there is some restrictions on signings and I would hope that once revenue comes into the club in the form of home games against barrow , batley , fev n bradford provided we get reasonable attendances should be able to pay the rfl loan back and take us out of special measures giving us freedom to sign more players. That's how I read it anyway.

I didn't quite make it today ........ in the pub with the Fax top on but the weather was terrible! So I stayed in the pub for a cosy few pints. Now .... if the club hadn't charged the booking fee I'd have gone having paid for an advance ticket! I wonder how many other fans did the same? I bet the crowd didn't even top 1.5k ...... well, I told you so! How did Hurrell play?

Hopefully you stay in the pub for all the games the club doesn't need fans like you, I always find it strange how people think the world revolves them , news flash pal no one gives a if you go or not , coming on to a forum to announce that you cut your nose off to spite your own face then presuming others followed suit shows how delusional you are.

Not quite as dominant as in previous games and less cohesive across the park but Barrow played their part with some good defence, asked some questions in attack, they never went away or could feel that the points were in the bag until the last few minutes.

On the game , it was an average performance perhaps dictated to by the conditions and felt a bit like a last year performance, noticed eastmond coming down to the touchline to say a few things, I'd be interested to see how he reacts to that performance and should give us a better indication as to his man management skills.
