Three Good Years is the title of my latest and sixth novel in my series about northern life. This coming Saturday (18th May) from 10. 30 onwards I will be in WH Smith signing copies and hoping maybe to meet again some of my old mates from Crosrol where I worked for seven good years or who I used to stand with at Thrum Hall when I used to live at Bailiff Bridge.
The novel is set between 2006 and 2008 and has a background of work, family life, saving the NHS and Rugby League and has as its opening chapter "The Jehovah's Widnes".

I had fifty-five good years in Gods's Own county, but now residing even further north. I can't remember properly, but not sure that 2006-2008 were that great. Just joking! Hope it goes well, but I'm 200 miles away now.
