| Quote: halifaxjohn "Thanks Gregg for starting this thread, some people have posted about today's game on different threads.
I was very disappointed.
We seem to have no game plan, and team selection seems strange to me.
As someone has said on the other thread Robbo and Scott missing, yes we know, but surely we should have a strong enough squad to over come that.
As usual the forwards worked hard, no creativity at half back and two wingers who want to either be first receiver and get nowhere or cut back into the middle.
As regular readers will know, I wear rose tinted glasses with my head buried under the sand, but, not today, hugely disappointed.
I have no idea what it takes to be a coach, nor a director of a Rugby club but I do think we as a club need more creative thinking.
Both on the field and off.
Just my opinion, often wrong seldom right.
Cmon John , you and Fax fans like you ie ,Bentleyman , Littlerich , Swifty , and the Duchys , are the heartbeat of the Fax forum , the team need your support , you are all great fans , maybe sometimes looking through Rose tinted specs but don't we all ?Its not over for you yet , I rate your team , ive said every team will lose a game you wouldn't think they would , it happens .Some Leigh fans are saying we will go through the Season unbeaten IT WONT HAPPEN , someone will beat us more than once , we will have a bad day , we all do , dust yourselves down get ready for the NW Crusaders next week , im predicting a WIN for you there .

| There are a number of disparaging remarks about Workington on this thread but how many have been aware that we have had a run of injuries over a number of weeks where we have had upwards of 7 players out at one time. On Sunday we put together our fit players with four Wigan juniors - Murphy (played all last season for SW Scorpions); Farrell (under 19 player hasn't made SL debut yet); Manfredi (winger making his first appearance for us) and Powell (again first appearance for us but has been playing a few SL games) - but for your coach to say that the four Wigan players were the best players on the field is just poor excuse making comments.
The players who were the best on the field were local players Brett Phillips, Marc Shackley, Carl Forber, Graham Mattinson, Liam McAvoy plus Andy Bracek for yourselves. Under Phil Vievers I can see a lot of improvement in our team and don't worry one or two others will lose at Derwent Park this season.
I think Mr Harrison needs to look at his own squad and his own abilities and not look for excuses. He never mentioned the fact that Town only had 1 recognised prop forward in our squad and that although we had 17 names on the team-sheet one of those players, one of our starlets Callum Phillips, didn't even make an appearance so we played with a 16 man squad.

There's many on here who will agree with you there.

Not sure where the disparaging remarks are on this thread, personally I think Workingon were the better team, as I remarked to one of your supporters when I left the ground.

You might be right, I wouldn't like to comment.

| Nowt between the two sides I thought. We were on top for the first 20 minutes and Workington for the last 20. This points out yet again that we seem to fade away late on in games. Lack of fitness? An Ruadh Ghleann, Rutherglen. Bank Top Gold Digger 4.0% Mmm!
