I was thinking the same earlier, local sport is on the up at the minute, as well as the points listed above there was also Siddal's record breaking victory over Doncaster (first Amateur side to beat a professional side to nil and highest winning margin in a pro vs amateu game), as well as the spectacle of the Halifax vs Ovenden CC game,
if only that was true les west guitar god. Im fighting a losing battle on the football messageboard tryin to get a positive reaction to the Fax win.Not all halifax football fans are negative though,just a few sad individuals who dont and never will understand the sport
while there are a few who seem to still want to 'stir it up' its far less than i recall last year for sure. Ive looked at the thread and its only a couple slagging fax off
Completely agree with all above.
It would be great if all the fans who have gone watching Bulls/Giants or Terriers/Clarets etc. returned to the Shay, if both teams could up their gates by getting the misguided back on board it would be a big boost to further plans.
Well done to both teams at teh Shay and long may it continue.
