Quote: Jack-in- a- Box "This is my first ever posting on the forum and i wish to discuss my own feelings on what i believe is wrong with our team at the moment.Being a season ticket for several years i am as dissapointed as anyone with how the team is playing.First of all i look at individual players performances and see were we can improve. This does not neccessary mean holding a gun to certain players heads and finding fault with them ,this is about how they approach games and more importantly how they perform as team members,no players first of all is bigger than any club disregarding who you are.At the moment certain players are coming under some sever criticism but why, these players do not go bad players in such a short time.Confidence in the team at the moment is at an all time low, why!,how do we concede 42 pts against a team in lower division at home, how do we concede 48pts against a team who should not be even playing in our division who were relegated last year. This in my opinion is about attitude, self confidence and more importantly certain players believe they are better than they really are. Many blame Matt Calland for his coaching qualities,to a certain extent i agree but more importantly it is about very bad man-management skills and not being able to work with different personalities within the team.We have the squad to run away with this division,so why are we not!.I have never seen the team so low in confidence, players playing out of position, certain players i believe have lost the respect of the coach due his handling of certain situations and bad man-management skills.Ben Black needs to take some responsability instead of throwing torpedo passes behind the on coming runner,Penky needs to get more involved around the ruck area were many games are won and lost.Bob Beswick,s work rate goes un-noticed and at the moment is not being allowed to play his own game.Dom Maloney is our best go forward pack player but the others are not doing the donkey work.Stan Gene,Dave Larder,Big Frank,Ste Bannister are not working like other members of the team.Micheal Ostick ran the ball in very well at Featherstone but him and Maloney cannot do it on their own. What we need is to control the run areas again and believe in ourselves, this is all about getting back the confidence.I will always support the team disregarding if we are winning or losing but i really do we need a change of coch and Matt Calland must go.We need a fresh start, new coach, new ideas, new regime and a coach who can relate to individuals and good man-management skills.Certain players need to believe in themselves again and get the confidence back what Matt Calland has taken away with his personal differences he has with individual players.Halifax can win their next two games and what better way than shutting up the critics with a convincing win on Thursday in front of the Sky Cameras.Together this team can still progress and win this division, however "Calland needs go" to allow individual players confidence to return and turn this bad period around before it is to late.'"
