Really tough encounter at Leigh played in bad conditions,the ball was like a bar of soap and both teams lost a lot of possession.Our defence was much improved and certain individuals stood up to the mark as always,Royston had his best game for 10-12 matches,Gleeson looked busy around the ruck area and looked good when interchanges especially when the big Leigh forwards begin to tire in the final quarter.Beswick tackled his guts out as always and kept Leigh on the back foot with his kicking and runs on the blind side.Patterson did well after coming under heavy pressure from both Maiden and Alstead,one time Maiden kicked out at Patterson hoping he would react but he did well to keep his head and discipline.
1,Shad Royston- took his two tries very well.
2,Bob Beswick-constantly kept Leigh out with his solid defence.
3,Mark Gleeson-made some valuable yards and relieved the pressure of the forwards in such heavy conditions.
