Quote ="Yob"When they decided that they didn't need to take the top part of the Stand down and rebuild (may just have been the roof), surely that should have bought them some time. God knows how they can be behind

The roof work which wasnt needed in the end didnt stop the work underneath the stand progressing so this I assume made little change to the programme of works.
However, due to the change in design they have had to dig the concrete base out to install new drainage. Due to the cowboys who initally did the work all those years ago, the concrete in places is 500mm deep when it should be around 150mm deep. This has led to a great deal more work being required and until the under-ground drainage is complete, the next step cant begin.
I would have thought its as frustrating to Halls as it is anyone because a longer contract will mean greater prelims. But thats one of the disadvantages of picking up the pieces of a previously started (and bodjed) job.
